Yoga blankets are an important element in your yoga practice: they provide optimal protection to your bones and joints and provide firmness and stability to your asanas (yoga postures), especially in Iyengar Yoga. You can roll your yoga blanket into a bolster and use it during your chest opening exercises on the floor, or fold it up as a cushion to support and comfort your shoulders or back during your inverted poses. Yoga blankets can also serve as a softer yoga block and are great for restorative yoga. Yoga blankets are ideal, not only during your yoga practice, but also at the end of your session. The final relaxation part, known as Savasana, is essential to feel and integrate the benefits of yoga and to deeply relax all parts of the body. With the yoga blanket, you can cover yourself during the Savasana posture (also known as Yoga Nidra) to feel comfortable and conserve body heat. Instructions for the care of the yoga blankets: The yoga blankets can be put in the washing machine (maximum water temperature 30º C). It is not advisable to put the yoga blankets in the dryer or iron them.
